For my Fodder Challenge 2026 project I will teach you how to make these fun fodder birds. I absolutely LOVED making these Fodder Birds! Honestly, I could have kept creating them for days.
Making richly textured papers with modeling paste and collaged patterns from vintage books and magazine pages is so much fun. Then comes my favorite part…curating each bird with those handmade papers and bits from my treasured stash of found embroidery.
Every bird becomes its own little work of art, and the process brings me so much joy. I hope you enjoy making your own flock!
For my Fodder School 6 project I will be demonstrating fun new techniques to create a beautiful fodder vase.
Flowers are my favorite thing to paint, draw, and create…especially when I can bring them into the third dimension! I had the best time making all of my fodder papers using the simplest supplies: a hot glue gun, bleach, and even vegetables.
Watching those unexpected textures and patterns emerge was pure magic. Then, transforming those handmade papers into a dimensional bouquet inspired by one of my favorite artists, Paul Aizpiri, was an incredibly rewarding creative journey. I can’t wait to share the process with you!
