Art Biz Jam

We have a great line up of speakers for this year’s conference in Richmond, Va. Oct. 6-9.If you are an artist looking to grow or refine your business… this is for you!!

Let’s gather with creative kindreds and create side by side in a gorgeous barn in Vermont! Come join me as we create dimensional collages inspired by nature.

Geared towards any level of creator, I will share the process that I work through to create mixed media pieces incorporating all kinds of shapes, line, color and texture. Learn how I use everyday and accessible materials to add a tactile uniqueness to each piece.

I will provide a treasure trove of possible materials and I encourage each attending creative to think out of the box and bring additional texture-adding supplies.

Wear your comfy clothes, be prepared to laugh and dance, bring something to charge your phone (because, pictures), and come enjoy the special community created when artists come together to make art.

I have been co-hosting this annual conference geared towards professional artists at all stages of their careers for close to 15 years!!! The community has grown to a very supportive tribe who help one another learn and grow! 

This year, the ArtBizJam Conference is being held in Richmond, VA October 6 – October 10, 2024 at the beautiful corporate offices of Evergreen Enterprises VA, a well known and major giftware and garden manufacturer! ABJ will start with a meet and greet on October 6 at our hotel with the popular name badge contest and a black and white themed cocktail party.  Relevant topics including trends, AI, growing your brand, social media,  etc…will be presented at Evergreen Enterprises on October 7-9 with valuable information from the home decor and gift industries to move your business forward!

My friend, Jamie Jamison, had a wonderful idea of chatting with folks who have made a pivot in their life to move towards something that was calling them…. something more joyful and authentic. She invited me to join her in the adventure. So… we have become … podcasters… what???

In Episode 1… we interview one another about why we have chosen this theme and how we are “Rebloomers” ourselves. You may hear a bit of nerves as we get our footing. But we LOVE chatting and hearing people’s stories.

For years, I have been hosting smaller creative retreats at a BEAUTIFUL property called Richwood on the River. I always feel transformed when I get to visit there and the most adorable neighboring town of Madison, Indiana.

On one of the picturesque drives to Richwood, an idea popped into my head. What if we create a beautiful conference that will be helpful to a larger group? And… what if I invite some dynamic friends to encourage this group to DREAM BIG and create an AMAZING life path?
