Noticing, Capturing, and Composing
a Grecian Journey Retreat
with Artists Lori Siebert and Kenzie Elston in Greece

Planos, Zakynthos, Greece
April 22-29, 2027

Join Kenzie and I for a joyful travel journal retreat on the sun-drenched island of Zakynthos, Greece. Throughout the retreat, you will explore your unique travel journal style using mixed media to capture the extraordinary world around you. Whether you have been journaling for years or are a complete beginner, we have designed each session to be accessible and playful.

From sketching the cobblestone streets of Zante Town to capturing the dramatic coastline from a boat, every day trip feeds directly back into your journal work in the studio. We will guide you in building spreads that feel alive with personality, teaching you how to look at a place and translate what moves you into pages that tell your own unique story. By the end of the week, you will head home with a travel journal bursting with the color and spirit of Greece, a set of skills to carry into every adventure that follows, and a group of fellow artists who made the whole experience even better.
Topics covered in our classes include:

The venue, a stunning Greek villa perched on a cliff with sweeping views of the sea, will be your creative haven. The villa offers exclusive access to a sea-facing studio, welcoming common areas, and a refreshing infinity pool, providing plenty of space to work and relax. You’ll enjoy two exciting trips—one to the historic Zante Town and another to the renowned Shipwreck Beach—both of which offer inspiring cultural experiences that you can translate into your artwork. Outside of your art sessions, unwind by the infinity pool, savor Greek cuisine prepared by a private chef, and share creative discussions with fellow artists over a glass of local wine.

This special experience, hosted with Crafted Roads, blends art-making with cultural discovery in one of the most visually inspiring places in the world. Together we’ll soak up the vibrant colors, artisan traditions, and everyday beauty of Oaxaca, letting the sights, flavors, and textures guide our creativity.

Who This Retreat Is For
This retreat is designed for curious, creative souls who love to:

• experiment with mixed media
• connect with other creative women

You don’t need to be an experienced artist…just someone who loves making things and seeing the world through a creative lens.
A Week to Refill Your Creative Well

One of my favorite things about teaching retreats is watching people loosen up, try new things, and rediscover the joy of making art just for the love of it.
And when that happens in a place as magical as Oaxaca… the inspiration is endless.
If you’ve been craving a creative getaway filled with color, culture, and connection, this could be the perfect adventure.
